Chorulon is a freeze dried crystalline powdered preparation of chorionic gonadotropin, HCG or human Chorionic Gonadotropin, for intra muscular administration after reconstitution. When reconstituted with the associated sterile diluents, every ten milliliter vial comprise of ten thousand I.U. chorionic gonadotropin, which is equivalent to ten thousand USP units of chorionic gonadotropin and around ten milligrams of mannitol along with disodium and mono phosphate to adjust the pH of the solution. This product is free from any sort of antimicrobial preservatives.

HCG, human Chorionic Gonadotrophin, is an active constituent of Chorulon, which is a very complex glycoprotein with LH, luteinising hormone, activity. HCG can be utilized in females for promoting maturation of the ovulation, follicle and the creation of the corpus luteum. In males it is used for the stimulation of the production of testosterone that further influences the maintenance and development of primary and secondary sexual characteristics.

What are the uses of Chorulon

There are several fertility issues in various domestic animals where Chorulon can be used very effectively. In case of frequent malfunctioning of conception in heifers and cows, this product is used. It can even be used in case of induction of ovulation in bitches and mares and also in case of cystic ovaries in heifers and cows. If any kind of deficiency in libido in male dogs or deferred ovulation and expanded pro-oestrus in bitches is reported, this product can be used proficiently.

Pharmaceutical precautions for Chorulon

It is always recommended not to store Chorulon above twenty five degree centigrade before reconstitution. However after reconstitution it must be protected from direct sunlight. In order to avoid any harmful effects it must be stored refrigerated between two to eight degrees centigrade if it is not utilized instantly after reconstitution. Any remaining reconstituted product must be discarded within twenty four hours. Contamination should be prevented as much as possible during its use and every empty container and unused product must be discarded.
